Customer Notice – COVID 19 Update

In light of yesterday’s announcement that we are entering a new national lockdown, as a designated essential business supplying the construction industry, Duchy Timber (Premier Forest Products Ltd) will be continuing to trade, but we will be introducing some additional temporary measures to continue to ensure we do so safely under the new Covid-19 Government Guidelines.

From Wednesday 6th January and until we have assessed demand and risk, call-in access to our shop and trade counter will be restricted, but all other parts of our service will operate as normal; We will still be taking your enquiries and orders, and our full range of products and services will be available. We will however operate with pre-arranged collections and deliveries only. Please do not turn up at our premises without booking a slot as we will not be able to serve you.


Collection Slots

Starting on Wednesday 6th January, we will allocate 20 minute collection slots for pre-arranged collections, which will take place in our customer car park at the front of our premises. All collections must be pre-booked.  If you are a cash customer all goods must be paid for in full over the phone by credit or debit cards prior to collection. Please note we cannot accept cash on collection. Account collections will not need to be signed for, instead a copy of your collection note will be attached to your order and we will take a photograph of the collection for our records.


Upon your arrival, a member of staff will direct you to one of our collection bays where your goods will be brought to your vehicle. Please stay in your vehicle and only get out of your vehicle to load or strap down when it is safe to do so, and our member of staff has left your designated collection bay. We ask all customers to respect social distancing rules while on site.


Please be aware that if you fail to turn up on time or miss your collection slot, you will need to book a new slot, so please allow plenty of time when planning your collection. If you miss your slot we will endeavour to book the next earliest slot available but this may not be on the same day. Please do not enter the site before your slot as we do not have space for parking; please park on the road outside and only enter at the start of your 20 minute time frame.



Customers will not be asked to sign for deliveries; instead we will take a photograph of the off-loaded goods for our records. If someone is present at the address we will ask you to check the goods prior to taking the photograph to ensure you are happy with the delivery. We ask all customers to respect social distancing rules while we are carrying out deliveries.
