General Manager
Olly has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience, working in the timber trade since 2005. He oversees all of the sites facilites, including the various production departments and works closely with the sales team. His main focus is to ensure the business runs successfully and smoothly, producing quality products and continues to grow.
Production Manager
Dave is our longest serving member of staff, being with the company for over 30 years. Dave has always worked in the production side of the company and has long been in charge of this. Dave oversees and is responsible for our day to day production schedules for the site, running and often working in the sawmill as well as sourcing all our round log supplies.
Kiln Supervisor
Derek processes timber through our kilns to reduce the moisture content. This enables us to grade, machine and treat the timber. He oversees a team of 3 as part of the production process and is a qualified timber grader.
Sales and Systems
Alistair began working for Duchy Timber as a Yard Assistant, serving customers and preparing orders for delivery. He then transferred to the Sales office and is also involved in the systems side of the business ensuring our products are certified correctly, checking stock levels plus overseeing our Health and Safety Procedures. He will happily assist in discussing and arranging your order from stock items to bespoke fencing.
Carpenters Workshop Supervisor
With a carpentry background Mark plans and oversees the work of his team. His skill and knowledge is reflected in the quality of the items produced in the Lostwithiel workshop, from our signature items to individually designed bespoke items.
Treatment Operator
Andy is qualified to process timber through the treatment plant. Treating approx 50 cubic metres of timber a day, this is a vital part of our onsite process.
Stock Control Supervisor
James has been part of the Duchy Timber team for over 14 years. In this time he has worked in a number of different roles, mainly in our busy sawmill. James has since transferred to the sales office where he is now an integral part of the team. James is now in charge of stock control, maintaining stock levels and keeping a close eye on our production figures, as well as helping out with day to day sales.
Shop & Counter Sales
Lee started working for Duchy Timber back in 2014. Lee is “front of house”, working mainly on our busy sales counter as well as keeping our shop well stocked and tidy. Lee is the friendly face of Duchy. He has great product knowledge of timber, being able to work out decking and fencing requirements for our retail customers, Lee is always happy to help.
